GuideOS

Turn your PDF city guide into a branded mobile experience

Your readers get maps, favorites, notes, and optional audio — on your domain. You get a clear content system. No monthly fee: 15% revenue share only on sales.

Why PDFs cap your growth

  • Low perceived value keeps prices stuck.
  • Readers download once and rarely use the guide in the field.
  • Hard to earn reviews, referrals, and repeat purchases.
  • Your brand disappears inside generic marketplaces.

What GuideOS changes

  • Mobile-app feel: fast, touch-first, works where travelers actually walk.
  • Map + structured places: transparent, modern content management.
  • Your domain, your brand — not buried on a marketplace profile.
  • Stripe Connect Express: buyers pay you; we take the agreed fee automatically.
  • Risk-free model: no setup, no subscription — you can leave with your content export.

See it live

KrakowPlaces runs on the same stack we white-label for guide authors — open the site on your phone to feel the UX.

Risk-free for authors

  • No setup fee and no fixed monthly subscription.
  • 15% platform fee only when you make a sale (pilot discounts available for the first partners).
  • 30-day termination notice from either side.
  • You own your content; export on exit within 7 days.
  • 99% monthly uptime target — if we miss it, fee credit applies (per contract).

How it works

  1. You sign up and we create your tenant + default subdomain (or connect your custom domain).
  2. We help you structure your guide (places, categories, copy, images) — white-glove for the first pilots.
  3. You complete Stripe Connect onboarding so payouts go to your business.
  4. You publish — readers buy on your domain; we handle hosting, checkout, and updates.

Example economics (illustrative)

Not a promise of results — numbers depend on your audience, pricing, and marketing.

If you sell 100 guides/month: • PDF at $8 → $800 gross • App-style guide at $25 → $2,500 gross After a 15% platform fee on the app price: $2,125 net vs $800 — same traffic, higher willingness to pay when the product feels premium.

FAQ

Do I need to leave Gumroad/Etsy completely?
No exclusivity — but selling the same product in two places can confuse buyers. Most authors consolidate once the new channel works.
Who invoices the traveler?
You sell under your Stripe account; tax and invoicing rules depend on your entity — we recommend confirming with your accountant.
What does the 15% include?
Hosting, product UX, checkout, content tooling, onboarding help, and starter marketing templates (landing copy, social prompts, email drafts).
What is not included?
Paid ads for you, full audio production, translations, and custom engineering beyond the template (available as add-ons).
How long does launch take?
Pilot launches are typically a few working days once content and Stripe onboarding are ready.
What if I want out?
30-day notice, then we provide a structured export of your content so you can keep selling elsewhere.
